Rage Review

Graphically, Rage is the greatest looking game on Xbox360 up to now. The “id Tech 5″ engine is really impressive as well as the HD videos on the web can’t get it done justice. To genuinely appreciate the graphical beauty of the game you have to play or watch it in actual life maybe not on the web.

Rage

The lighting alone in this game is spectacular. I have heard people mention such things as pop ups and screen tearing, but to tell the truth I have not seen any such thing like this. From the beginning I was searching stunned at what I was seeing and that there might be that much of a graphics leap on a console which was released six years back. The id 5 engine has absolutely pushed the graphics envelope up a notch and proved the 360 has barely reached its graphical limit.

Gamers should be worked up about this because the moment they start trying to sell the code with this engine to other developers it will make the start of this generation and end of the generation seem like day and night.

Fighting and driving in a wasteland never been so fun. Transition to and from vehicles and from area to area is seamless. Combat is fun and fast and urges you respond to your aggressors instantly by whatever life-threatening means possible.

At first you are able to obtain different weapons from main/side quests and afterwards get them at the store. They have been upgradable and you will make sure they are better if you do the money. There’s nothing as satisfying as switching weapons on the fly to deal out death in twelve various ways and looting all you can get hold of.

Rage

Driving is tight and precise and honestly much more fun than I thought I’d ever have driving within an FPS. It is extremely satisfying ripping over the wasteland from town to town blowing up bandits on the way.

Outfitting your buggy with weapons is really as much fun as outfitting your self. You will find missiles, mini guns, and all sorts of toys to drop everywhere to screw up anyone who’s attempting to screw you as long as you’re cruising along.

Rage

So far as the story can be involved it will its job well and is furthered by interaction with other characters whether by speaking with them directly or overhearing their conversions. They’ve done an admirable job of placing interesting, or even very deeply developed, characters through the game which are believable and sympathetic within their views and their causes.

The story is solid, simple to follow, and is sensible. It does not drag you along kicking and screaming or forcing plot advancement before you’re ready (particularly if you’re a side mission kind of player). It is as much as the ball player whether they wish to unravel a few of the story or everything.

However, make no mistake… this game is really a shooter first of all. Anybody moving in buying role playing game or perhaps a 1000 page novel or perhaps a movie is looking in the incorrect place.

Over all Rage isn’t just an o.k. FPS or perhaps a good FPS. It’s great and absolutely worth picking right up if you want great games.
