A lot of technology is developed for the military and filters down to civilian users, and wearable computers are no different. One of the major problems with the systems currently in use is that soldiers don’t want to put down their weapons to operate their gear. A startup in Massachusetts has created a glove with sensors in the fingertips, including trackpad-like mouse controls. This could easily be combined with fingernail touch sensors to create a simple, intuitive, and unobtrusive interface for wearable computers.
